The Perfume
Pagoda is one of the highlights of the Hanoi area and one of
the most important religious sites in Buddhist Vietnam. The
pagoda itself is situated in a huge cave built into
limestone cliffs and can only be reached by boat as there
are no roads. Tourists on pilgrimage to Perfume Pagoda feel
that are somehow transported from the daily life to a
heavenly, poetic world of
clouds–water–forest–mountains–caves–and wild animals...
Entering Huong Tich Cave, with its ‘tree of gold’, ‘tree of
money’, and ‘Buddha’ created over hundreds of years from
stalactites, it can truly be named as the most spectacular
cave in Vietnam.

picturesque countryside and back roads to the
village of Duc , where we get on a small boat
for a one hour trip up
Yen Vy stream
to Thien
Tru Quay . You may trek up (or take cable
car) to the mountain to
Huong pagoda
. After having lunch, get to Thien Tru
Quay to visit more beautiful and precious
sculptures, taking photos, worshipping, getting
on boat again back to Duc Wharf . Get back to
Hanoi .
